Jake asks for some clarification regarding the type of government I propose. In essence, the system of government I advocate is much like that described by the Founders. I believe that the government's sole purpose is to protect rights; therefore, the government should be limited to the police, armed forces, and courts. All other functions government has taken on are a usurpation of power and represent the violation of the rights of citizens. Government ownership of roads, airports, parks etc. are not the function of government. Lastly, though I did not live through the Depression, it is a clear logical fallacy--argumentum ad hominem circumstantial--to discount my positions on Depression-era economic policies because I did not experience them first hand.
