Grove City Area High School class officers
Grove City Area High School’s commencement ceremony was held at 7 p.m. May 29 at Robert E. Thorn Field at Grove City College.
Christopher Shaw, son of Kevin and Tammy Shaw, of Grove City, is the school’s valedictorian. Christopher has been involved in marching band as section leader, swimming, track & field, Student Council as treasurer, Yearbook, National Honor Society as president, Model U.N., Mock Trial, Academic Games, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir, Interact Club and Global Scholars. Christopher plans to attend Grove City College to major in Applied Statistics.
Arden Anderson, daughter of Erik and Rachel Anderson, of Grove City, is the school’s salutatorian. Arden has been involved in marching band as drum major, Thespians as president, Interact Club as president, For the Love of Reading, Chamber Singers as vice president, PMEA, Global Scholars, Model U.N. and Mock Trial. Arden is also a competitive figure skater. She plays the violin in the YSU Youth Orchestra as concertmaster. Arden plans to attend Boston University to major in International Relations.
