Five incoming University of Pittsburgh students from across Pennsylvania have been selected as 2026 Stamps Scholars for their leadership, academic achievement and service to their communities, including a student from Knoch High School.

Hannah Butler is a Knoch senior who earned the Stamps Scholarship, which covers full tuition, room and board and mandatory fees. It also provides an allowance for books and supplies. Additionally, the scholarship includes up to $17,400 in enrichment funding that can be used toward study abroad experiences, unpaid internships, academic conferences and other educational pursuits.

Hannah is the daughter of Kristine and Eric Butler of Saxonburg. She is a member of the girls' varsity track team, president of the National Honor Society and president of the senior class cabinet.

Hannah plans to attend Pitt to study environmental engineering.
