Butler High School senior Brynn Cornibe was selected as the 44th annual Theodore K. Vogeley Scholarship recipient Tuesday, May 19.

She was selected from 45 applicants. The scholarship will cover full tuition, fixed fees, room and board, and books.

Brynn is the daughter of Benjamin and Melissa Cornibe, of Butler. She plans to major in mechanical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown.

The number of Vogeley recipients vary each year due to interest earned on the trust and the costs of the students’ colleges or universities. A committee selects the recipients, according to Butler Area School District.

Two other students will receive a four-year fixed-amount scholarship. They are Ethan Binus, who will receive $15,000 per year for a maximum of 60,000; and Luke Monday, who will receive $25,000 per year for a maximum of $100,000.
