Things to do in Saxonburg this summer

15th Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival, June 12-14

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is a premier annual event that attracts Jeep enthusiasts from all over the world. The festival is a Jeep-only event. All drivers must be at least 18 years old. All Jeeps must be registered and have valid liability insurance during the festival dates to participate in any festival activities.

Location:

Cooper’s Lake Campground, 205 Currie Road, Worth Township

Hours:

Friday, June 12 — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday, June 13 — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, June 14 — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Jeep Invasion will start at 6 p.m. Friday, June 12, downtown in Butler.

The Bantam Quarry at Kildoo Trail Sessions, Bantam Boot Camp and the Babes of Bantam ride take place at 989 Kildoo Road, outside Portersville.

Saxonburg Carnival, June 23-27

A community event for friends and families to gather for good food, great games and fun rides. The carnival’s traditional Pet Parade, Water Battle and Fireman’s Parade are part of the week’s plans.

Admission: Admission is free. Ride tickets are available for purchase.

Hours: 6 to close

Saxonburg 250th Parade and Celebration, July 3

Saxonburg will host a parade and fireworks to celebrate America250.

Main Street, Saxonburg

Hours:

Parade begins at 5 p.m.

Big Butler Fair, July 3-11

The event, billed as “the largest fair in Western Pennsylvania,” includes food, animals, concerts and rides. Prices may vary in person and online.

Admission:

$8 to $10, cash only at the gate

Free for children aged 6 and under

No pets allowed

Hours:

Daily: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Weekends and July 4: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Butler Farm Show, Aug. 10-15

This unique event showcases Butler County’s farming community with a variety of farming exhibits, tractor pulls and demonstrations. Attendees also can enjoy arts and crafts, carnival rides, food vendors and more.

Saxonburg Artisan Market, Sept. 12-13

This event features food, vendors, live music, carriage rides and kids activities.

Sunday, Sept. 13: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saxonburg Fireman’s Sportsman's Fest, Sept. 18-19

Admission: $100 presale ticket vouchers for the two-day event are available through the office. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 724-352-3300, Ext. 755 for more information.
