Ethel W. Scott McPherson
Ethel W. Scott McPherson, 102, of the Orchard passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1913, in Butler to the late Benjamin M. Means and Wealtha Ann Howard Means.
Mrs. McPherson was a 1932 graduate from Butler High School.
She was a resident director of Slippery Rock University.
Mrs. McPherson enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. McPherson is survived by her two sons, Lynn A. Scott Jr. and his wife, Marie, of York and James M. Scott and his wife, Lynda, of King George, Va.; her five grandchildren; her stepgrandson, and her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn A. Scott, who passed away in 1963; her second husband, Paul C, McPherson, who passed away in 1976; her stepdaughter, Nancy Lamison, and her seven brothers and sisters.
McPherson — The friends of Ethel W. Scott McPherson, who passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom R. Jones of the Summit Evangelical Presbyterian Church officiating.
