James G. Myers
James G. Myers, 62, of Route 422, Slippery Rock Township, passed away Tuesday at the Jameson Care Center in New Castle.
Jim was born on June 15, 1952, in Ellwood City to the late Wendell E. and Elsie May “Jones” Myers.
He was a 1970 graduate of Laurel High School and a 1974 graduate of Grove City College, where he earned an AB degree in accounting. Jim was employed by the Pennsylvania Power Co. for 23 years in various accounting and human resources positions.
Along with his family, Jim owned and operated Farmers Dell, a farm market and country store. He also owned Jim's Self-Storage. He was on the board of directors at the Jameson Health System, Challenges Options on Aging and Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh.
Jim is survived by many cousins and good friends, as well as his caregiver, Margaret Glasser of New Castle, who has been by his side throughout his illness.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Keith Myers.
