Theodore C. Groves
Theodore C. “Ted” Groves, 73, of Mars, formerly of McKeesport and Hazelwood, passed away Thursday evening at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh.
Born on Dec. 19, 1941, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Theodore C. and Margaret Culhane Groves.
Ted had been a machinist, inspector and union representative for Union Switch and Signal.
An avid car enthusiast, he was a member of the Corvette Club of Palm Beach, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Quinten Groves, who he married on Oct. 19, 1963, one son, Theodore R. Groves of Mars and one daughter, Dana Stankiewicz and her husband, Paul of Miami, Fla., a brother, John “Jack” Groves and his wife, Mary of West Mifflin, and his grandchildren, Teddy, J.D., Justin and Kaylee and a soon-to-be great grandchild.
GROVES — Friends of Theodore C. “Ted” Groves, who died Thursday, May 21, 2015, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
