Lee Anna Kennedy

Lee Anna Kennedy, 94, of Cabot passed away at 5 a.m. Sunday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Kiskiminetas Township, Armstrong County, to the late Walter Edgar McColgin and Rhoda (Scott) McColgin.

Mrs. Kennedy graduated from Westminster College in 1942.

She taught music in the Leechburg School District and later taught in the Fox Chapel School District, retiring in June 1989.

She was a member of the East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer Township, where she was the organist and choir director for 35 years. Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed teaching music until she developed macular degeneration.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by one son, Karl Edgar Kennedy and his wife, Nancy, of Valencia; one daughter, Marsha Lee Crall and her husband, Robert, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two granddaughters; two grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Richard Karl Kennedy, who she married June 28, 1945, and who passed away Nov. 1, 2005; one sister; and two brothers.

KENNEDY — In accordance with the wishes of Lee Anna Kennedy, who died Sunday, July 5, 2015, there will be no public visitation.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 E. Union Road, Cheswick.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Memorials are suggested to the East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 E.
