Albert Karl Sikora
Albert Karl Sikora, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday surrounded by his family at his home in Summit Station, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Freeport to the late Charles and Anna (Witek) Sikora, who came to America from Poland in the early 1900s.
After graduating from Freeport High School in 1951, Albert enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps where he achieved the rank of sergeant. He is a veteran of the Korean War and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.
Albert received an associate degree in electronics and worked for 28 years for Rockwell International as a flight test engineer and eventually in human resources.
He was a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus-Council 5253, the VFW and the American Legion.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn P. (Simpson) of West Winfield, Pa.; three brothers; and five sisters.
Albert was extremely loving and proud of his three surviving daughters, Carla (Dan) Fultz of Pickerington, Lori (Bill) Hewitt of Pataskala and Jennifer (Rocky) Lowe of Marysville; his grandchildren, C.J. and Alex Fultz, Maddie, Brandon (Tiffany) and Logan Lowe, Amanda (Mike) Fox, and Ryan (Erica) Hewitt; four great-grandchildren; brother, William Sikora of Worthington; his sister, Agnes Farster of Altoona; his brother-in-law, David Terry Simpson of Pennsylvania; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
SIKORA — The family will greeting friends and relatives of Albert Karl Sikora, who died Saturday, July 11, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio.A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pataskala Cemetery.
