Deborah R. Steiner

Deborah Renee Steiner, 46, of Cabot passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 4, 1969, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Andrew Herceg and Doris Szebalskie Herceg.

Debbie was a 1987 graduate of Knoch High School and the Connemaugh Valley School of Nursing. She received her BSN nursing degree from Slippery Rock University.

She had worked as a nurse for various Pittsburgh-area nursing facilities.

A member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, she was a committed member of the church council, Stephen Ministries, the church choir and other community choirs.

As a dedicated mom she made certain that her children were exposed to a wide variety activities and organizations.

She especially loved singing, cooking, playing board games and traveling to Busch Gardens, Myrtle Beach and Camp Lutherlyn.

Surviving are her children, Noah and Rachel; her mother, Doris Szebalskie Herceg of Sarver; her brother, Douglas (Frances) Herceg of Carnegie; and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bruce Steiner, in 2002; and her father, Andrew Herceg, in 2010.

STEINER — Friends of Deborah Steiner, who died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 310 W.
