Anna Marie Black

Anna Marie Black, 77, of Prospect passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Jan. 2, 1938, in Franklin, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Paul Nicklin and Bernice (Beers) Nicklin.

Anna Marie was a retired registered nurse, having 30 years in various nursing positions for the VA Butler Healthcare Medical Center. She was a member of St. Christopher At The Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect, where she was also a member of the choir.

Surviving are her children, Deborah (David) Busin of Evans City; Gregory (Amy) Black of Maine; Cynthia (James) Gregor of Prospect; John (Dianne) Black of Butler; Charles W. Black of Washington; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five siblings, Joseph (Barb) Nicklin of South Carolina; Theresa White of North Carolina; Mary Jean Smith of Oklahoma; William Nicklin of Franklin, Pa.; Richard (Darla) Nicklin of Franklin, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Black, who died Feb. 1, 1994; one granddaughter; and two brothers.

BLACK — Friends of Anna Marie Black, who died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A rosary and prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Christopher At The Lake Roman Catholic Church, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect, with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev.
