David “Dave” Robert Coester

David “Dave” Robert Coester, 26, of East Butler passed away Sunday.

He was born Aug. 14, 1989, in Orange Park, Fla., the son of James Paul Coester of West Sunbury and Lou Ann (Thompson) Coester of Saxonburg.

Dave was a member of the Power of God Pentecostal Church and had attended Highlands High School.

He worked for United Plate Glass and for Texas Roadhouse.

He played bass guitar, loved heavy metal music, Lernerville Raceway, hiking at McConnells Mill State Park, playing catch and spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving along with his parents are his wife, Stephanie (Hortert) Coester of East Butler, who he married Feb. 28, 2014; his son, David Coester Jr.; another son on the way, Deagan Coester; three sisters, Amanda Coester of Butler, Naomi Coester and Hope Coester, both of West Sunbury; two brothers, Stephen Coester of West Sunbury and Chris Strausser of Butler; his niece, Annabelle Strausser of Butler; his nephew, Justin Austin of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Katherine Thompson; paternal grandparents, Bill and Susan Coester; and two aunts, Chelle Gannon and Sarah Sulensky.

COESTER — Friends of David “Dave” Robert Coester, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Power of God Pentecostal Church, 222 W. Cunningham St., Butler. Please enter from Birch Street Alley. The Rev. Danny Anthony, his pastor, will officiate.Interment will be at the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, a trust has been established by his employer, United Plate Glass, for his children.
