Gertrude E. Staab

Gertrude E. Staab, 91, of the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, passed away Friday. She had previously lived in Carnegie and Harrisville.

A daughter of John and Jenny Belle Welsh Herron, she was born May 13, 1924, in Carnegie.

Mrs. Staab had worked at the perfume counter of the Joseph Horne Co.

She was a member of St. Peter parish. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, and she taught dance classes, everything from ballroom to line dancing.

On March 4, 1946, she married Robert J. Staab. He died Feb. 1, 1998.

Surviving are five sons, Robert (Arlie) Staab of Inverness, Fla., Thomas (Beverly) Staab, William (Teresa) Staab, Daniel Staab and Matthew (Leane) Staab, all of Harrisville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John; her grandson, Tommy Staab; five sisters; and three brothers.

STAAB — Friends of Gertrude E. Staab, who died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Today at the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.A blessing service will be at 6 p.m. Today with the Rev. Amy Worline, chaplain of Trinity Living Center, presiding.
