John Paul Kraus

John Paul Kraus, 55, of Mars, passed away on Wednesday evening at his home.

Born April 8, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of the late Anthony W. and Ruth Mae Simpson Kraus.

John was self-employed in concrete construction and the owner of John P. Kraus Concrete Construction.

John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved hunting and shooting and he especially enjoyed training his hunting dog, “Dozer.”

He attended the South Butler Assembly of God in Penn Township.

Surviving are his wife, Judith “Jude” Bender Kraus, whom he married May 2, 1992; his children, Nicole Ashley, Joshua Michael and Zachary Ryan Kraus, at home; his sister, Marian DeNardo (Ralph) of Bluffdale, Utah, his brother, Ed Kraus (Sue) of Colorado; his in-laws, the Rev. George and Helen Bender of Butler; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Sue Brugere (Ben) of Butler and Chris Sutej (Tom) of Saxonburg.

He was the uncle of Jessica, Christopher, Amanda, Julianna and many other nieces and nephews.

KRAUS — Friends of John Paul Kraus, who died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the South Butler Assembly of God, 160 Brownsdale Road, Butler, with the Rev. Frank Keen officiating.Please meet at the church.
