Richard T. Kelly
Richard T. Kelly, 87, of Zelienople passed away Sunday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.
Born April 9, 1928, in Arma, Kan., he was the son of the late Thomas and Josie (Dolance) Kelly.
Mr. Kelly proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a longtime faithful member for over 50 years of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, worked at the church day care center and was a friend and mentor to many young men.
In 1987, he retired as a production manager from the Valley News Dispatch.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 66 years, Beatrice (Master) Kelly, who he married Sept. 3, 1949; his seven children, Kathy Lynn (Dale) Reisinger of Harmony, Thomas Edward Kelly of Zelienople, Norma Jo (Joe) Kerner of Zelienople, Lee Ann (Carlos) Salinas of Zelienople, Michael Francis (Sheila) Kelly of San Antonio, Texas, Kerry Alan Kelly of San Antonio, Texas, and Peter Andrew (Bella) Kelly of Columbia, Md.; and his eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
KELLY — The family of Richard T. Kelly, who died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dan Owen officiating.He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church Child Care, 123 N.
