Vivian B. Simpson

Vivian B. Simpson, 84, of Brookville, Pa., formerly of Clarion County, passed away Tuesday at Jefferson Manor in Brook-ville.

She was born March 11, 1931, in Mayport, Clarion County, the daughter of James K. and Vera F. Fryer Walmer.

Vivian attended the Summerville and Rimersburg schools.

She was married Oct. 2, 1947, to Junior B. Simpson, who preceded her in death.

Vivian worked for years in hospitals and nursing homes and retired from the Clarion Forest VNA.

She was a hard worker all of her life and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she loved flowers.

Vivian is survived by her children, Lanny J. Simpson and his wife, Sharyn, of Williamsburg, Va., Richard K. “Dick” Simpson and his wife, Marsha, of Sligo, and Randy S. Simpson and his wife, Sheryl, of Williamsburg, Va., her daughter-in-law, Jami Simpson of Clarion; her grandson, Jeffery Simpson and his wife, Char, of Strattanville, who she raised as a son.

She also is survived by six other grandchildren, Angie, Jasen, Jordan, Stephanie, Stacy and Megan; numerous great-grandchildren; her aunt, Edna Clinger of Brookville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Gary Lee Simpson and Timothy M. Simpson; one daughter, Shari L. Simpson; two infant sons; one infant daughter; two older infant sisters; and three younger brothers.

SIMPSON — Family of Vivian B. Simpson, who died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood St., Clarion.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Evans, pastor of Clarion Forest VNA, and the Rev. Dan George, pastor of the Grace Community Church in Curllsville, officiating.
