Delbert M. “Moe” Geibel
Delbert M. “Moe” Geibel, 81, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Oct. 13, 1934, in Butler, he was the last surviving child of the late Clarence and Mary (Waltman) Geibel.
He retired during Thanksgiving of 1994 from the Refiners Transport, where he had driven a truck and served as a Teamster member for 21 years. He had also driven a truck for Western Auto for 13 years, totaling 34 years of driving.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of East Butler Firemen's Club and Happy Hunters Club, the D.A.V. Butler Chapter and a retired member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 273 of Pittsburgh.
He especially enjoyed his antique vehicles.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne M. Constantine-Geibel, who passed away Aug. 20, 2009; three brothers; and two sisters.
GEIBEL — Friends of Delbert M. “Moe” Geibel, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A blessing service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
