Raymond E. Cioffi
Raymond E. Cioffi, 86, of New Castle passed away Monday evening at the Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1929, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Dominick E. and Viola Frasso Cioffi.
Surviving at home is his beloved wife of over 61 years, the former Joann Marso, who he married Oct. 16, 1954.
Raymond was a self-employed businessman, owning Ray TVs and Ray Interiors and retiring from the Kerrco Co., an interior design and draperies company.
He also served his country as a member of the National Guard.
An active and devout member of St. Camillus Church, Raymond taught Sunday school and Bible study and was involved in numerous church activities. He also was known for his handyman skills.
In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by his children, Diane Lombardo and her husband, Ronald, of New Castle, Dr. David Cioffi and his wife, Beth, of Lancaster, Pa., and Jon Cioffi and his wife, Jennifer, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; his, brother, Dr. Eugene Cioffi of Mobile, Ala.; and his grandchildren, Bryan Lombardo and his wife, Jaime, Brandon Lombardo, Elizabeth Cioffi, Matthew Cioffi and Katherine Cioffi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Glorita Pionati; his brother, Donald Cioffi; and his great-granddaughter, Gabriella Lombardo.
CIOFFI — Visitation for Raymond E. Cioffi, who died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Camillus Church, officiated by the Rev. Michael Peck. Interment will take place at the Castleview Memorial Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's honor to the building fund for St. Camillus Church, 314 W.
