Donna Jean Bucholz
Donna Jean Bucholz, 72, of Buffalo Township passed away Saturday while in the company of family members at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Donna was born in Freeport on Jan. 9, 1943. She was the only child of the late Dorothy S. (Wegner) and Frank G. Check.
Donna was the widow of Anthony S. Bucholz, who passed in January of this year.
She owned and operated Tomorrows Treasures, a cross stitch and craft store in Natrona Heights. She had also worked for a number of years at Fisher's Big Wheel store.
Donna enjoyed doing craft work, scrapbooking and she was also very involved with documenting her family's genealogy. She and her husband, Tony, loved to go out for dinner and spend as much time as they could at their grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl (James) Farrell of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Laura (James) Stewart of Buffalo Township. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Kayla Farrell, and Lurena and Addison Stewart.
BUCHOLZ — Family and friends of Donna Jean Bucholz, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen of St. Luke Lutheran Church, officiating.
