Joanne G. Braund

Joanne G. Braund, 81, of Mars, formerly of Gibsonia and New Brighton, on Thursday was unexpectedly reunited with three of her children who preceded her in death.

She was the loving wife of Robert C. Braund for 62 years; dear mother of Michael T. Braund (Diane), Cindy J. Parks (Kip), and the late Robert Jr., Sandra Lou, and Richard B.; sister of Bud Davis Jr. (Carol), Sue Sullivan, Sally Sturm and Sandy Cameron; and sister-in-law of Tom and Carla Braund. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Joanne was a retired nurse who worked at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

She was a huge Pirates fan.

BRAUND — Family and friends of Joanne G. Braund, who died on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the George A. Thoma Funeral Home, 10418 Perry Highway, Wexford.Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at the funeral home.If desired, the family suggests memorials to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
