Laura J. Seger, 45, of New Milford, Conn., formerly of the Karns City and West Sunbury areas, died Tuesday at Danbury Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 22, 1970, in Natrona Heights, the daughter of Melissa (Sarnosky) Trefelner of Karns City and the late Daniel E. Seitz.

Laura graduated in 1988 from Moniteau High School in West Sunbury. On June 10, 2000, she married David Seger in New Milford, Conn.

She was the general manager for Seger Air in New Milford for the past 10 years and had been very involved with the New Milford PTO.

Besides her husband, David, and her mother, Melissa, she is survived by her son, Devin L. Seger of New Milford, Conn.; her daughter, Victoria Haman of New Milford, Conn.; her brother, Gregory P. Seitz and his wife, Maria, of Las Vegas, Nev.; her niece, Sophia; numerous friends; and her Pilates group.

SEGER — A wake for Laura J. Seger, who died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford, Conn.
