SHAWN CROSS (Seneca Valley), a junior on the Pfeiffer (N.C.) University men's lacrosse team, scored two goals in a 17-8 loss to Wingate. Pfeiffer is 6-1 on the season and Cross has scored 21 goals on the year.•

MONICA GLOMB (Mars), a pitcher for the Kutztown University women's softball team, picked up three wins in four days recently. She tossed a one-hitter in a 13-0 win over Glenville State, defeated Georgian Court (N.Y.) 8-1 and shut out the University of Sciences, Philadelphia, 8-0. Kutztown is ranked No. 11 inn the nation and Glomb is 6-1 with a save and an earned run average under 1.50.•

DREW SNYDER (Seneca Valley), a senior on the Grove City College men's swimming team, swam a leg on the Wolverines' 200-yard freestyle relay team that placed third at the NCAADivision IIISwimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota.•

ZOE HUGHES (Knoch) went 3-for-4 with three RBI, including the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning, to lead the Point Park University softball team to a 6-5 victory over Penn State-Fayette in the first game of a doubleheader Friday.
