Julie A. Ganoe
Julie A. Ganoe, 50, of Main Street, Emlenton, died unexpectedly Friday morning at her home.
Julie was born in Grove City on Dec. 9, 1965. She was the daughter of David J. Ganoe and Nancy L. Ganoe.
She was a 1983 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg, where she was a member of the high school's drill team. Julie graduated from Clarion University in 1992 with a B.S. in early childhood development.
She had been employed as a youth services specialist at Mid-Atlantic Youth Services in Emlenton.
Julie was a member of the Memorial Church of Our Father Episcopal in Foxburg. She was an avid animal lover, and especially enjoyed the company of her dogs Cy, Tucker and Roxie. Julie was very artistic and enjoyed flower arranging. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles and kayaking and the company of her many friends. She was looking forward to moving into her new apartment at Bridgeview in Emlenton.
In addition to her parents, David J. Ganoe of Foxburg and Nancy L. Ganoe of Shippenville, Julie is survived by two sisters. Jacqueline L. Vensel and her husband, Eric, of Emlenton and Janie M. Ganoe and her fiance, Judd Jack, of Foxburg; one niece and two nephews, Jennifer and Dylan Vensel of Emlenton and Jarrett Jack, of Foxburg; a number of aunts and uncles, Judith and Charles Fleming of Foxburg, David and Carol Meals of Foxburg, Avis Ganoe of Foxburg and David McGinnis of Callensburg; as well as a number of cousins and many friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Hannah Ganoe; her maternal grandparents, Clifford and Mary Jane Meals; as well as two aunts, Janie Hovis and Rosemary McGinnis; and an uncle, Jack Ganoe.
GANOE — Friends of Julie A. Ganoe, who died Friday, March 11, 2016, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 802 Grove St., Saint Petersburg from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Memorial Church of Our Father Episcopal in Foxburg with the Rev. Geoffrey Wild, church pastor, officiating.
