William J. Brown, 75, of Butler passed away Monday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Butler, the son of the late William O. Brown and the late Sue (Stoughton) Brown. Bill was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. (Johnson) Brown; two daughters, Debra (John) Williams of Cheswick and Kathy (Todd) Frederick of East Brady; his son, William J. Brown Jr. of Butler; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his sister.

BROWN — Memorial services for William J. Brown, who died Monday, April 18, 2016, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., Butler, with the Rev. Jim Steiner, pastor, officiating.
