Debra Susanne Thompson
Debra Susanne Thompson, 59, of Butler passed away at 11:42 a.m. Thursday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1956, in Butler to Margaret (Hariff) Shultz and the late Robert Shultz Jr.
Debra was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a 1974 graduate of Butler High School, then went on to receive her nursing degree from Butler County Community College.
She worked as an emergency room nurse for several years at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2013.
Debra was a former member of the Community Meals. She enjoyed watching her kids play hockey. Debra liked music, gardening, canning and was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
She is survived by her husband, Larry J. Thompson, who she married on Nov. 17, 1980; two sons, Travis Thompson and Chad Thompson, both of Butler; one daughter, Abbey Thompson of Butler; her mother, Margaret Shultz of Butler; one brother, Robert Shultz III of Butler; one sister, Sherry Patton and her husband, Robert, of Harrisville; one niece; six nephews; and one great-niece.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Pamela Shultz.
THOMPSON — Friends of Debra Susanne Thompson who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
