Miller's Quality Meats will hold a cookout from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday to benefit Missy Barto's family and 6-year-old daughter.

Barto was an employee there up until her death last week.

The business announced the event in a email newsletter Thursday.

“Missy's loyalty, dedication, and brimming personality were exemplified in her hard work and infectious smile at Miller's Quality Meats. As a single mother, her positive attitude and outlook on life were refreshing and we are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and co-worker,” the email said.

Miller's Quality Meats is located at 142 N. Main St. in Butler.
