Charles H. Texter, 56, of Chicora went home to be with his heavenly Father Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 4, 1959, the son of the late Melvin E. and Viola Grace Texter.

He is survived by his twin sons, Stephen and Christopher Texter; his daughter, Katie; seven grandchildren; his brothers, Ralph Texter and Aaron Texter and his wife, Kathy; his sister, Marcia Ligas and her husband, Kenn; his brother-in-law, Gary Grove; his very special loving caretaker and friend, Laurie Powell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin E. and Viola Grace Texter, and his twin sister, Cheryl Grove.

TEXTER — Family and friends of Charles H. Texter, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E.
