James “David” Pugh
James “David” Pugh, 46, of Plum passed away at his home Wednesday.
He was born March 13, 1970, in Natrona Heights, the son of the late Kathy (Callen) Mercurio and John “Tim” (Karen) Pugh of Butler.
He lived in Plum and worked at shipping and receiving at Gamma Sports of Pittsburgh for 10 years. He was a member of No Walls Ministries in Pittsburgh, where he also volunteered.
David was a graduate of Butler High School. He enjoyed fishing, Pittsburgh sports, especially the Pirates, crossword puzzles, cooking and grilling.
David was known for his rich vocabulary and recognized as a hard worker.
He was a very compassionate and kind person with a great sense of humor.
Besides his father and stepmother, survivors include his children, Jessica Pugh of Meadville and Katie and Ashley Pugh of Greenville; his grandson Isaac; and his brother, Matthew O. Pugh, of Nashville, Tenn.
Also surviving is his grandfather, James David Pugh of Tarentum; his grandmother Gertrude Pugh of Neptune, N.J.; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Mercurio, and his brother, Thomas Mercurio.
PUGH — A memorial visitation for James “David” Pugh, who died Wednesday May 11, 2016, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum.A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
