SV receives national recognition for music education support

Seneca Valley School District was honored for the fourth year in a row by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. It received the Best Communities for Music Education designation, recognizing the district’s outstanding commitment to music education.

The designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students. Seneca Valley answered detailed questions about funding, music class participation, instruction time, facilities and community support.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our talented staff and student musicians, as well as the unwavering support of our parents, administration and community,” said Sean McCarty, deputy superintendent. “It celebrates both the strong traditions built over time and the continued impact of our music program today.”
