David F. Romito
David F. Romito, 66, of Evans City passed away Saturday morning at VA Butler Healthcare Medical Center.
Born April 9, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Laverne Vallance Romito and the late David L. Romito.
David retired from the Bulk Mail Center in Cranberry Township. Before working for the postal service, he had been self employed repairing IBM machines.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marines.
David enjoyed golfing, before becoming ill. He was very active in Military Veteran Projects. For many years he wrote the newsletter for Vietnam War veterans.
David is survived by his wife, Barbara Lucas Romito, whom he married Oct. 28, 1967; one daughter, Tammy (Denny) Higgins of Evans City; his mother of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Marcy (Pete) Huffman of Florida; and one brother, Dino (Connie) of Florida; and three grandchildren, Nikki Ford, Dennis Higgins Jr. and Maddi Higgins.
