Summer Camps bring the fun across the county
Butler’s Alameda Park hosts Camp Alameda on weekdays from June 8 through Aug. 7.
During sessions, Camp Alameda is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with late pickup offered until 5 p.m.
Camp sessions are five days each and campers are divided up into age-appropriate activities throughout the day. The camp is open to children ages 5 to 12. The cost is $130 per child per week.
All Star Sports is from June 8 to 12.
STEM in the Park is from June 15 to 19.
Cosmic Kids is from June 22 to 26.
Messy Madness is from July 6 to 10.
Get Soaked is from July 13 to 17.
Pirates in the Park is from July 20 to 24.
Alameda Animal Adventure is from July 27 to 31.
Rock the Park is from Aug. 3 to 7.
Both YMCA locations in Butler County — the Butler YMCA and the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry — offer summer camps.
The summer camp at the Butler YMCA starts June 8 and lasts until Aug. 21, and is open to children in kindergarten through grade six. (Children must have completed kindergarten to be eligible.) Children will be taken by bus from the Butler YMCA to Armco Park in Slippery Rock Township and then back to the Butler YMCA each day. The cost is $235 per week per child for five days per week and $170 for three days per week.
The first week, from June 8 through 12, follows the theme, “Science Explosion.”
The Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA offers a school-age summer camp and a preschool summer camp. Both camps start June 8 and last until Aug. 14.
The school-age camp is open to children from pre-K to sixth grade. Pre-K children need to be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2026, and fully potty trained. Registration fees are $220 a week for current YMCA members and $240 a week for nonmembers, with a $50 nonrefundable deposit. (Cost includes weekly Kona Ice/Dairy Queen special treat.)
Summer Scholars preschool camp is open to children ages 4 to 5 from 9:30 to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Children must be fully potty trained.
Registration fees for Summer Scholars are $85 per week for YMCA members and $115 per week for nonmembers. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration for each week.
Camp Breakthrough’s camp structure is the building block to develop a healthy and positive mindset for a camper’s journey toward becoming the best version of themselves.
Camp Breakthrough runs for 11 weeks from June 8 to Aug. 21 for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade. All campers must be fully potty trained. Camp runs each day from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $45 per week.
The camp’s home base is Memorial Park, with indoor space at First English Lutheran Church. The camp has scheduled field trips to the Pittsburgh Zoo, Altitude and Fun Fore All.

Camp Cranberry is a weekly, theme-focused day camp for developing physical, social and decision-making skills; promoting self-confidence; and having fun, from June 8 to Aug. 7.
Camp Cranberry offers full- and half-day options for the Mini Movers for ages 3 to 4, at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building. Little Achievers for ages 5 to 6 offers a half-day, full-day or extended-day option at North Boundary Park.
Youth Camp offers a full- or extended-day option and follows a weekly theme at North Boundary Park. Camp for children ages 6 to 8 is located at the Dan Baker Shelter. Youth Camp for ages 9 to 12 is located at the Penn Power Shelter.
Animals Art Camp is designed for ages 5 to 9 and runs Monday through Thursday July 6 to 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Campers will draw and color bright animal masterpieces, learn simple drawing techniques for animals and use their imagination to design their very own unique creatures.
Sketching and Drawing Camp is June 22 to 25 from 10 a.m. to noon. This camp introduces young artists ages 8 to 14 to the fundamentals of drawing in a fun, encouraging, and imaginative environment. Campers will learn how to turn simple shapes and lines into pictures while building confidence in their artistic abilities.

Join the Jennings staff this summer for “Creepy, Crawly, Cool,” a fun and hands-on day camp experience.
These misunderstood plants and animals often have a bad reputation and are disliked by people. Come learn about them and why we should appreciate them.
Camp for ages 4 to 7 will take place Tuesdays, and ages 8 to 12 on Thursdays. All sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to noon for $5 per child, per session. Advanced registration is required. Jennings Summer Camp is held at Jennings Environmental Education Center in Brady Township. Get ready for a summer full of fun, learning and new friends with full-day enrichment camps for grades one to eight on Butler County Community College’s Main Campus in Butler Township. Camps run Monday through Thursday from June 15 to July 30.
Morning care is offered from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and afternoon care is offered from 4 to 5 p.m. Morning care is $39 per week, and afternoon care costs $29 per week. Camps are divided by first grade, second through fourth grade, and fifth through eighth grade.

Elementary students in first through fifth grade are invited for a week of singing, dancing and acting at Knoch Elementary Musical Theater Camp. Learn what it is like to perform on state and collaborate with experienced cast, pit orchestra and crew members from Knoch’s Theater Arts Program.

Seneca Valley Academy of Choice is offering summer camps June 15 through Aug. 3 for children in first through ninth grade. Morning camps (8:30 a.m. to noon) are designed to transition into afternoon camps (12:30 to 4 p.m.), offering flexibility for parents’ busy schedules and a full day of engaging activities for students.
Students attending both morning and afternoon camps should bring a packed lunch. Lunch will be held from noon to12:30 p.m. Students should bring a packed lunch if they are staying the full day.

St. Luke Lutheran School is offering summer camps.
At Dinosaur Discovery Adventure get ready for roaring fun, big discoveries and a summer your little paleontologist will never forget. This camp is for preschool-age children who have completed one year of preschool and are fully potty trained. Camp runs 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 22 to 26.
Arts and Crafts Camp is filled with creative and imaginative activities for students who have completed kindergarten through third grade and will run 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 22 to 26.
At Summer Bridge Camp, children will take part in interactive learning activities that will inspire students to grow academically, love reading and to become a math whiz. This camp is for children who have completed kindergarten or first grade will run 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 20 to 24. Each camp costs $75.
