Vera Webber, 86, of New Castle passed away Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Vera was born July 15, 1930, in Ridgeville. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Johnston and the late Retta Hilliard Johnston.

Vera was a member of the Ridgeville Methodist Church. She enjoyed working puzzle books and country music.

She had been employed for many years at Slippery Rock University, where she was a cafeteria worker.

On July 24, 1965, she married Samuel Webber, who survives. Also surviving are one sister, Viola McCracken of Grove City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara McMinn, Grace Slocum, Alberta Craig and Edna Dillaman; and her brothers, Ernest Johnston, Clarence Johnston, Eceil Johnston and Ronald Johnston.
