Donna May Custer Hoover, 77, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Butler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning.

Donna was born May 7, 1939, in Valier, Pa., the daughter of John Wesley and Gladys Lunnette Smith Custer.

Before she moved to Ohio, she was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Butler. She had a passion for the lost and prayed for her family to receive Christ as their Savior. Donna loved teaching her Sunday school class, working in the nursery, and going on New Mother's Visitation.

She is survived by her loving husband, John C. Hoover; four children; nine grandchildren; and three siblings.

HOOVER — Calling hours for Donna May Hoover, who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. E., Mansfield, Ohio.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N.
