Two people were injured this morning when a Jeep crashed into a house on Herman Road in Clearfield Township.

The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, a 22-year-old man, and one of two occupants in the house, suffered injuries that were not believed to be serious, authorities said.

Emergency crews said it appeared the driver was traveling west shortly after 8 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the side of the brick house.

A mother and daughter were in the home. The daughter, who was in the living room, was injured. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, authorities said.

The mother was in a bedroom and was not hurt.

The driver was able to get out on his own and escaped with minor injuries. He was reportedly taken by a family member to the hospital.
