Charles E. Hufnagel

Charles E. Hufnagel, 68, of Butler passed away Monday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Jan. 5, 1948, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Margaret McCormick of Butler and the late Charles Emil Hufnagel.

Chuck worked for Glade Run Services, working with children and making a world of difference in their lives. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved feeding the birds and building birdhouses. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 47 years, Karen S. Gehm Hufnagel; his children, Kirk (Jessica) Hufnagel of Zelienople and Carrie Young of Butler; his grandchildren, Maria and Hannah Young and Wyatt and Mack Hufnagel; and his sisters, Katherine (Gary) Ostrowski of Butler and Cheryle Ann Walls of Ohio.

In addition to his father, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Kurt and Joseph Hufnagel.

HUFNAGEL — A memorial service for Charles E. Hufnagel, who died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, or the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
