Gerald A. “Jerry” Darkowski, 53, of Petrolia passed away Wednesday evening at VNA Inpatient Hospice at Butler following a lingering illness.

Born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 31, 1962, he was son of Donna Kazyak Darkowski and the late Gerald W. Darkowski.

Catholic by faith, he was a longtime worker in the construction field.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, James Darkowski of Petrolia; and two sisters, Diane Ringeisen of Pittsburgh and Melissa Elk of Parker.

Also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

DARKOWSKI — There will be no public visitation for Gerald A. “Jerry” Darkowski, who died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, and a memorial Mass will be held at a date to be announced later.

The Buzard Funeral Home of Eau Claire is assisting the family with arrangements.
