John “Jack” Hutterer

John “Jack” Hutterer, 86, of Charlotte, N.C., died Dec. 11.

John Maurice Hutterer was born July 19, 1930, in Allegheny County.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a carpenter. Jack was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 211 and Mount Royal Veterans Club Post 9199. Jack enjoyed crossword puzzles, dancing, bowling and following his hometown teams, Pirates and Steelers.

Jack is survived by his two sons, Jack Hutterer and his wife Joyce, Bill Hutterer and his wife, Kim; his daughter, Vikki Grupp and her husband, Mike; his sister, Doris Shackleton; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Sara “Sally” Hutterer; and his parents, John and Lena Hutterer.

HUTTERER— A memorial luncheon for John “Jack” Hutterer, who died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Silvioni's Restaurant, 2125 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh. Friends and family are welcome.In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to American Heart Association.
