Memorial Day Event Roundup

Saturday

Prospect will have an America 250/Memorial Day event on the borough’s Main Street. The festival begins at 3 p.m., while the parade starts at 5 p.m.

Sunday

Cranberry Township will hold its 27th annual Memorial Day remembrance ceremony from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial at North Boundary Park. This ceremony is presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 879. Refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.

The Shearer-Schick American Legion Post 154 and VFW Post 7132 will host a Memorial Sunday service at 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Rimersburg. The ceremony will move to the Faith Fellowship Church in Rimersburg in case of inclement weather.

The Penn Township Veterans Association will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Penn Township Fire Department.

Monday

Butler County Veterans Services will hold its Memorial Day parade at 10:40 a.m. on Main Street in Butler. A remembrance ceremony at Diamond Park will follow the parade.

The Chicora Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. A ceremony at the borough’s honor roll will follow the parade.

Harrisville American Legion Post 852 will host a Memorial Day ceremony and parade. The ceremony begins at noon at the Post pavilion, while the parade begins at 1 p.m.

The annual Rimersburg Memorial Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. The parade will start at the parking lot across from Faith Fellowship Church. A Memorial Day program will begin at the Rimersburg Cemetery as soon as the parade arrives.

Saxonburg’s Memorial Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a ceremony to follow at Roebling Park. The event is sponsored by VFW Post 7376.

Zelienople will hold a Memorial Day service. The service will begin at 11 a.m. at the American Legion parking lot at 308 West New Castle Street. The ceremony is sponsored by the American Legion Post 474 Auxiliary.
