Carol J. Morse
Carol J. Morse of Liberty Township passed on Saturday following a brief illness.
Carol was the oldest of five children of the late George Elwin and Bernice Leinbaugh Johnston.
She was born July 2, 1939, in Cortland, N.Y.
She married the Rev. Willard S. Morse on July 13, 1957. Together they raised four sons. For Carol, her faith in God and her family were her “focus of being.”
Having been a vital part of many churches and communities, she was most recently a member of Grace UMC, Grove City.
In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, she is survived by four sons: Michael “Mike” (Linda), the Rev. Steve (Lynne), Eric (Elaine) and Scott (Anne); nine grandchildren, Jason (Jordann), Justin (Brittany), Bethany, Gabrielle, Krysten Pampel (Matt), Samantha, London, Zephrin and Addison; four great-grandchildren: Jayden, Jensen, Trinity and L.J.; two brothers, George (Jane) and Dr. E. Peter (Beth); two sisters, Cindy (Vinnie) and Wendy (Rick); and many nieces and nephews.
She and Willard resided in Gibsonia from 1972-86, in Mount Morris from 1986-1998 and in Grove City since 1998.
MORSE — Family of Carol J. Morse who died Saturday, May 20, 2017, will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol’s memory may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.
A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St., Grove City.
