Louise Stokes of Los Gatos, Calif., formerly of Hobe Sound, Fla., and West Hartford, Conn., passed away July 26 following a stroke.

Born Sept. 28, 1940, she was the daughter of Michael and Zelma Sedok of Rimersburg.

On Jan. 4, 1961, she married James E. Stokes of Butler, who preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Louise was retired from United Technologies (Pratt Whitney Aircraft) in West Palm Beach, Fla. She loved to travel and entertain. Louise will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her son Steven (Lisa) Stokes of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters Diana of Hartford, Conn., and Kathy of New Hampshire. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Bruce (Clydene) Stokes of New Wilmington; and two sisters-in-law Betty (Jan Hirsch) Mansfield of Wimberley, Texas, and Ginger (Phil) Angus of Carnegie.
