Ralph James Mahoney
Ralph James Mahoney, 99, of Butler passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Butler, the son of the late Daniel and Pearl Leona (Sheiring) Mahoney.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II.
He retired from Armco from the pickling department in 1981. He enjoyed going to Bradenton, Fla., with his wife in the winter months.
Surviving are four daughters, Joyce Davis of Howland, Ohio, Karen Fisher of Seattle, Wash., Susan (Raymond) Smochek of Slippery Rock and Amy (Frank) Bruno of Slippery Rock; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen D. Mahoney; a granddaughter, Rebecca Fisher, a great-grandson, Robert James; seven brothers and three sisters.
MAHONEY — Friends of Ralph James Mahoney, who died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. James Lewis officiating.
