William F. Hohmeyer III

William F. Hohmeyer III, 72, of Evans City passed away Sunday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Dec. 14, 1944, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William II and Verda Hohmeyer.

William served in the Army Combat Engineers during the Vietnam War.

He was an employee of Vogel Disposal Service with 39 years of service.

He volunteered for the Callery fire police and was a member at Crestview Community Church in Callery.

William was a member of the American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople. He belonged to the Harmony Masonic Lodge, Syria Shrine Temple Clown Unit and the Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, Lawrence Caravan 15 of Syria Shriners, Consistory Legion of Honor and the Legion of Honors at the Shrine Temple and Scottish Rite.

William also enjoyed horses. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.

William leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Sharon E. Walker Hohmeyer, whom he married Sept. 18, 1993.

HOHMEYER — The family of William F. Hohmeyer III, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Masonic ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m.His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.William will be laid to rest with military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.Memorial contributions in William's honor may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
