Marilyn J. McGinnis

Marilyn J. McGinnis, 80, of Chicora passed away Monday afternoon in the Chicora Medical Center following an illness.

Born Oct. 26, 1937, in Fairview, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred M. Shakely Bly.

She married Robert J. McGinnis on Oct. 4, 1958. He died Nov. 17, 2006.

She worked in bookkeeping for Mellon Bank in Chicora and Butler for six years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chicora.

She is survived by a son, Victor McGinnis of Chicora; a daughter, Jean Louise and her husband, Brian Pfirman, of Lowell, Ark.; two brothers, Allen Dean Bly and his wife, Dorothy, of Butler and Clifford LaMoyne Bly and his wife, Barbara, of Sarver; and her sister, Bonnie Lee and her husband, Willis Riggle, of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews.

McGINNIS — Friends of Marilyn J. McGinnis, who died Monday, March 5, 2018, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, corner of Main and East Slippery Rock streets, Chicora.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, with the Rev.
