James Clyde “Jim” Penatzer
James Clyde “Jim” Penatzer, 80, of Valencia, formerly of Bakerstown, passed away on Wednesday at his home in Valencia.
Born on Nov. 11, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George and Sarah Round Penatzer.
Jim was an avid golfer and a member of Pittsburgh North Golf Club, where he held the Senior Flight Championship and also shot three holes-in-one throughout his golf career. He won the Boilermakers Golf Championship.
Jim enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing his guitar and watching football. He loved animals, especially cats, dogs and birds.
Jim was a boilermaker and a member of Local Union 154. He got to travel the world doing specialty crane boom work.
Surviving are his son, Jim Penatzer of Gibsonia; and his grandchildren, Jesse (Julia) Penatzer of Canonsburg, and Alexis and Cassidy Penatzer of Gibsonia.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rose Marie “Tootie” Penatzer; his brothers, George, Dave, Robert and Raymond Penatzer; and his daughter-in-law, Terri Penatzer.
