Pracheta Mukherjee

On Monday, Pracheta Mukherjee passed away at the age of 67.

Pracheta was born on Sept. 2, 1951, to Shymapada and Gouri Mukherjee.

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in 1993, and taught in the business school of Slippery Rock University, IUP and Chatham College.

Pracheta was a poet, a passionate reader, an avid music lover, an ardent follower of the Kansas University Jayhawks basketball team and a world traveler.

He was known for his quick wit and kind and compassionate spirit.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Krishna; two sisters, Chandreyee and Atreyee; his nephews, Rahul and Oyshik; and his niece, Devanjali.
