Preschool teacher publishes children’s book
A local preschool teacher, Jayme Williams, recently released her first book, “The Knotty Princess.”
Williams, who has taught preschool at Holy Trinity Preschool in Chicora for 10 years, said her experience working with children inspired the story and its message. She used feedback from her students, whom she called some of her most honest critics and enthusiastic supporters, to write the book.
“They helped me understand what parts of the story made them laugh, what excited them and what lessons connected with them most,” Williams said of her students.
“The Knotty Princess” combines adventure and imagination with lessons about self-care for young readers. Williams wanted to create a story that entertains children while also encouraging healthy habits, confidence and emotional well-being.
“The Knotty Princess” is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
