Steelers open with MNF at Redskins
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers will open their 2016 schedule at Washington as a part of Monday Night Football.
The Steelers and Redskins will play at 7:10 p.m. on Sept. 12.
Pittsburgh will play home games on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Baltimore comes to Heinz Field for a 4:30 p.m. game Dec. 25 and Cleveland closes the regular season with a 1 p.m. game Jan. 1.
Only three 1 p.m. games dot the Steelers’ home schedule — Sept. 18 against Cincinnati, Oct. 9 against the New York Jets and the Cleveland game.
Other home games include Oct. 2 vs. Kansas City at 8:30 p.m., Oct. 23 vs. New England at 4:25 p.m. and Nov. 13 vs. Dallas at 4:25 p.m.
The NFL released its 2016 schedule Thursday night.
