The sun came up in splendor today dad,

Ten years have gone by, it no longer hurts as bad.

We think of you all the time

and remember your advice,

Not to take for granted the days of our lives.

We try to follow the footsteps

you bravely left behind,

Looking for the good in

everything you could find.

We still miss you dad,

husband, brother and friend,

But we know we'll see you

someday again.

While we long to hold your hand and see the smile on your face,

We know you are with God and in a better place.
