Eric Jones

In loving memory of my husband Eric Jones who passed away five years ago today, July 21, 2004.

Five years ago the final sentence was written, the period dotted on the page, the book closed, and put on a shelf. It was the greatest love story; a true once upon a time.

It was our love story. It was shorter than I intended but every chapter we wrote was better than the one before it.

The final chapter may have been written but I find myself going back and finding comfort in the words.

I turn the pages in my mind and I remember the years we had together. The memories soothe me when I am in pain, bring a smile to my face, laughter to my voice, and warmth to my heart.

It seems just like yesterday I heard you laugh and saw you smile so how can it be five years since you have been with me?

Life turns the page and forces us to move forward. I am doing that knowing that someday we will read our story together.

Always in my heart and in memories we will live happily ever after.
